The FabFitFun Summer 19 box was everything I had imagined. I was nervous that the upcoming boxes wouldn’t be able to beat what came in the spring box, but this one came in strong. There were a few items that I am so excited for and a few that I may or may not use regularly, but all together my box was worth about $400! As promised, I waited a few days to post this to give myself time to try out most of the products that I got (I got my box three days ago). There are one or two that I didn’t try or smell, but I wanted to make sure that I gave a fair review for each item in the box.
Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream & Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel $45
This is one of the items that I was able to choose during customization, so I was expecting it. While I wanted this more than any of the other selections, I was nervous about the scent. I love it though! There are hints of almond, vanilla, and caramel, but it isn’t too much. It reminds me of a tanning lotion scent, warm and summery.
111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask (Set of 5) $160
I actually use rose gold under-eye masks and so I was excited when I chose this addition to my summer box. These are for your full face, which is different for me. Also different was the price. My regular under-eye treatments are $2.50 for a two-pack and I was shocked to see the price tag for these. The smell was very nice and similar to the under eye masks that I have used before. Also similar was the skin tightening feel that the treatment gives you. I did not like that the eye holes kept the mask from going directly under my eye, where I want the treatment the most.
Odeme What A Pair Set of 2 Silicone Wine Glasses $25
These cups are so cute, especially for the occasional (or regular) wine drinker. I am not, so these will probably be gifted to a family member or friend, which this box is also great for!
Mystery Item – Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer $38
I am not much of a makeup user, at least not yet. So far, I am doing well to have some mascara and a bit of tint on my lips. I do plan on getting more into makeup, so I will be looking forward to using this. As of now, though, I am not sure how great of a product it is. I put some on the top of my had and there is a bit of sparkle. It is a tinted product, but the tint isn’t visible once rubbed into the skin.
Doctor Rogers Restore Healing Balm $30
I do have some skin issues so I was interested when I saw this item and all of the recommended uses (chapped lips, cuts and burns, severe dry and sensitive skin, post-procedure skin care, beauty hacks, and baby ointment). I immediately cracked this open to try it out. The consistency or feeling is closer to neosporin or Vaseline than it is to a lotion or cream. That I am not a fan of. I would rather use hydrocortisone cream that rubs in completely and doesn’t keep a slick or stick feeling. I also tried some out on my lips and it was similar to an unflavored gloss.
Invisibobble Original Duo Pack $16
I have seen these hair ties everywhere, even given them as gifts. Assuming my hair was too thick for them, I haven’t tried them myself. I took this as the opportunity to do so and I am in love. They do hold up my heavy, thick hair and it feels like there is less tension and hair pulling than occurs with my other hair ties.
Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask $39
I am not sure about this one. If you read the first FabFitFun review, you know that I am funny about what goes on my face. This mask is purple, as promised, but doesn’t smell too great. I may use this in the future, but I’ll stick to my rose gold masks for now.
Grace & Stella Rose Facial Spray $25.95
Again, this is an item that is more focused on regular makeup usage. The directions say to spray on before or after makeup. The scent, however, is amazing. I may use this without makeup or as a regular spray.
Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask $32
This mask is meant to keep your feet nice and smooth. I get regular pedicures for just this reason, but still have some rough patches due to wearing flip flops and sandals. This mask is a gel type of product that you put on your feet at night before bed, allowing your feet to soak up all the great moisturizers. I tried this with socks on and didn’t notice too much of a difference. Regular use may be required before seeing a difference, I am not sure. I have done similar overnight treatments with Vaseline or a thick lotion and noticed more of a difference, though.
