Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut Podcast returned to Shudder and Apple last week. Needless to say, I was super stoked to check it out. Anything to do with learning about horror, the great minds that create our nightmares, or how it comes together is at the top of my list. I especially miss Shudder’s The Core. Make sure you check that out, while your on there.

May Shudder Stephen King

Anyways, back to History of Horror. I was expecting an interview type show, similar to The Core when I read about the History of Horror’s return. I am aware of the difference in a podcast and a show, I just wasn’t actually expecting a podcast. That was somewhat of a let down for me. I enjoy watching the interview process and being able to see the people. Even a rough video of the interview would have been nice, nothing fancy.

The episode lineup is great, though. There episodes featuring Stephen King (my favorite), Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, Diablo Cody, Bryan Fuller, Tony Todd, Catherine Hardwicke, Victor LaValle, Tippi Hedren, Bruce Campbell, Josh Hartnett, Greg Nicotero, and Rob Zombie. The Stephen King and Quentin Tarantino episodes are my absolute favorite, but my opinion may be a tad bias. If you subscribe to Sudder, you can listen to them all now. If you don’t, they will be released to Apple twice a week.

I have been given a free subscription to Shudder, but I promise everything I write is honest. I will not give them good reviews unless I actually enjoy the content. Also, if you haven’t seen it already, I also reviewed a new Netflix Original. Check out my review of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
